Gain backcountry skills and get energized with 3 days of trekking. You’ll hike over Blue Ridge “balds” and across mountain streams as we backpack in Pisgah National Forest’s Shining Rock Wilderness. Cool off in the refreshing waters of Looking Glass Creek after experiencing the thrill of a 60-foot natural “Sliding Rock” waterslide. Before returning home, we spend our final night enjoying a campfire celebration under the stars.

Fiery Gizzard - July 17-19. Ages 12-14. $275.
Learn essential outdoor survival skills on a three-day backpack trip along the edge of the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. The Fiery Gizzard offers spectacular scenery and great hiking on both rugged and gentle terrain, where picturesque waterfalls meet natural swimming holes. A perfect trip for the beginner backpacker!

Summits & Splash AL- July 21-24, Ages 12-14. $300.
Spend three days backpacking the highest points in Alabama, covering diverse terrain including forested trails, boulder fields, and rocky bluffs. Learn the basics of backpacking and prepare gourmet backcountry meals as we explore the Cheaha Wilderness of the Talladega National Forest. On day three, hike out of the woods to cool off with a refreshing swim and a final picnic to celebrate the successes of our journey.
